We are the Lübeck Convention Bureau.
We help people who are planning an event – such as a conference, a congress or a function – in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck or in the seaside resort of Travemünde.
Our service is free of charge and independent.

Lübeck is a special city.
It’s steeped in history, has beautiful buildings, and the water is right on your doorstep.
There are also plenty of hotels, restaurants and event venues.
We work with lots of fantastic partners.
That’s how we’ll make your event in Lübeck a success.

What we offer
We’ll show you venues in Lübeck and Travemünde: for example, meeting rooms, conference centres and hotels.
We’ll support you with the planning: choosing hotels, service providers and supporting programmes.
We’ll help with your journey and your stay: how to get here, where to stay and how you can extend your stay.
We support you with planning events. For example, we give tips for using less energy and fewer materials.
We provide you with a dedicated team of contacts who will support you from start to finish.

Accessibility means:
Everyone should be able to use our website easily.
This includes people with disabilities.
For example, people with hearing impairments, visual impairments or learning difficulties.

We are constantly working to improve our website and make it accessible.

There are laws governing accessibility.
These laws state:
Online services must be accessible to everyone.

Schleswig-Holstein has its own law.
It is called the State Law on Equality for People with Disabilities. The abbreviation is LBGG.
The law states that websites run by government departments and public bodies must be accessible.

Our website is partially accessible.
Many features already work well.
However, some content is not yet fully accessible.
We would like to resolve these issues.

Some examples:

• Some images do not have alternative text.
• Alternative text describes the image for people who cannot see it.
• Some images serve a function but do not have suitable text for screen readers.
• Some headings are not marked up correctly from a technical point of view.
• Some forms do not have labels.
• Some text fields do not auto-complete.
• The colour contrast on the ‘Contact Us’ page is too low in some places.
• When zoomed in very highly, you sometimes have to scroll to the side.
• When navigating the website using only the keyboard, the order is sometimes illogical.
• Some videos play on a continuous loop.
• Some technical elements are still missing, such as ARIA landmarks.
• These help people who use screen readers.

We are working on all the issues mentioned.
Some improvements will take a little time.
We aim to resolve all issues by 5 February 2027.
