Fast connection in the city of short distances
Stadtverkehr Lübeck GmbH and its subsidiary Lübeck-Travemünder-Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH operate public transport in Lübeck and the surrounding area, as well as the Priwall peninsula ferries, with a total of 200 buses and more than 500 employees.
Every year, 24 different routes cover around 9.2 million kilometres and make 230 trips around the world. Whether it is to school, work or the shops - around 24.3 million passengers are transported each year in the modern low-floor buses and 3.1 million passengers on the Priwall peninsula ferries in Travemünde. In the summer season, an open-air bus takes passengers on a 50-minute sightseeing tour of all the interesting places in Lübeck's old town and the outlying districts.
Stadtverkehr Lübeck GmbH is not only one of the largest employers in Schleswig-Holstein, but its services also make a significant contribution to traffic reduction and climate protection in the Hanseatic city. The company's goal is to completely eliminate fossil fuels as a source of energy in its vehicles and replace them with electric power. Today, 5 electric buses are already in regular service, representing an important transition technology to pure electric mobility.
