Music and Congress Hall

The Music and Congress Hall Lübeck is a well-established venue in the Hanseatic City and is known far beyond Lübeck. As a multifunctional event centre, it offers a versatile range of spaces for meetings, congresses and cultural events. With a total area of 4,000 m², the Music and Congress Hall Lübeck features 15 event spaces for up to 2,000 people. The concert hall provides an ideal setting for congresses, meetings and concerts. Flooded with natural light, the Rotunda offers wonderful views of Lübeck’s historic Old Town and a modern setting for congress-related exhibitions, trade fairs, receptions and gala events.

Since 2009, the Music and Congress Hall Lübeck has incorporated economic, environmental, social and cultural considerations into its operational processes and business decisions. Key areas include energy and resource use, mobility, as well as social and cultural topics.

These areas are reflected in the MuK’s day-to-day operations: Since 2011, it has regularly participated in ÖKOPROFIT recertifications and documented reductions in electricity and heating consumption. A photovoltaic system installed on the green roof and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles are further examples. The MuK’s Green Globe certification at Platinum status complements this long-standing commitment. The MuK is also actively involved in initiatives and networks such as the Diversity Charter, fairpflichtet, Klima Pro Lübeck and 100PRO, which address a range of topics from diversity and fairness to climate and environmental protection.
