The campus, which is located south of Lübeck's Old Town, directly at the Wakenitz River, offers a variety of rooms and lecture halls with high-quality technical equipment for up to 625 people. The modern lecture hall center with its light-flooded foyer can be used for conferences and congresses during non-lecture periods. Since its foundation in 1964, the University of Lübeck, which has been established as a foundation university since 2015, has developed into a successful life science university thanks to its top-class medical profile in research and teaching. Today, the range of subjects with computer science, natural sciences and technology goes far beyond medicine, but science and teaching take advantage of the close proximity to the hospital in many ways.
